RISK & REGULATORY FORUM
RISK & REGULATORY FORUM is an initiative designed to bring together industry regulators,
partners, leaders, stakeholders, practitioners and professionals to share and exchange
ideas relating to risk and regulatory issues affecting them, the country and region at large.
HOW IT IS EXECUTED
RISK & REGULATORY FORUM is given effect through a series of structured seminars
throughout for the year, featuring a mix of experienced professionals and practitioners in
risk management; finance; strategic management; project management; compliance; and
other professional endeavours that hold valuable insight for the risk management arena.
These include, for example, environmentalist, arbitrators, legal practitioners, information
technology, national policy makers and rule making/ standard setting organizations.
RISK & REGULATORY OUTLOOK
One of the highlights of the RISK & REGULATORY FORUM initiative comes at the beginning of the calendar year with the "RISK & REGULATORY OUTLOOK".
The RISK & REGULATORY OUTLOOK, a one-day seminar, creates an environment and opportunity to discuss and examine emerging risk and regulatory issues that will affect local businesses in The Bahamas, specifically, and more generally, the Caribbean, especially in the financial services sector space.
The seminar features contributions from local industry experts; regional/international experts; regulators; and targets major industry organizations, practitioners; CEOs/Leaders and students.
The event features an informative panel discussion with regulators, local and international expertise.
"RISK & REGULATORY OUTLOOK 2021"
The Outlook was presented in partnership with the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services. The Outlook was a resounding success with 365 persons joining over the course of four hours.
The Central Bank, Securities Commission and Insurance Commission represented by Charles Littrell, Inspector; Christina Rolle, Executive Director; and Michele Fields, Superintended of insurance, respectively.
